Dr. Andreas Siebold's Biography

I am a specialist in Periodontics and Oral Medicine in private practice in Johannesburg. I went to the German school in Johannesburg and studied and specialized at the University of Pretoria. Monika and I lived in Germany for three years, where I also obtained my PhD (Dr.med.dent.) at the Ludwig Maximilian’s University in Munich. I am a past president of the South African Society for Periodontology as well as the South African Society for Dental Implantology and was a member of the Board of Directors in charge of education at the South African Dental Association. It gives me great pleasure to mentor postgraduate students, which I do part-time at the Department of Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University. I am married to Monika and have 2 children. To be able to switch off from dentistry, I exercise a bit by running, swimming and dancing with Monika.  I also love gliding and golf.
